Welcome to the Locust Fork High School Counseling website!

The mission of the Locust Fork High School Counseling program is to prepare all students socially, academically, and emotionally for present and future challenges. Students have the opportunity to learn to understand self and others, to participate in educational and career exploration, and to pursue career planning opportunities in a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment. The counselors work in a collaborative partnership with students, parents, teachers, and community members to empower students to reach their highest potential.

I am so proud to be the new Part-Time School Counselor at Locust Fork High School this year! While I mostly work with 7th and 8th grade students, my goal is to help any and all students, at any grade level, become stronger academically, personally, and socially. Furthermore, I want to support all students in their journey towards the college and/or career of their choice.

I am a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling. I recently obtained my Education Specialist certificate in Counseling from The University of West Alabama.
I am blessed with a wonderful husband, three dogs, a cat, and a turtle.

I am at Locust Fork High School every Thursday and Friday and every other Monday.
You can find out more about what I do by viewing my brochure here.

Have a wonderful 2018-2019 school year!
